Jeff Loves His Job

When asked what mattered to Jeff most when seeking employment, he made it clear he was committed to landing a job in a workplace that would encourage him to wholeheartedly be himself.

Jeff, a person with disabilities, first approached Meadowlark Employment Services in 2019. It was then that Jeff met Senior Job Developer Chris Ensley, who would be instrumental in his career success.

At first, when approaching the employment process, Jeff felt overwhelmed and unsure where to start. Faced with many challenges seeking employment before he started working with Meadowlark, Jeff said the biggest hurdle was navigating difficult questions. Chris worked closely with Jeff throughout the process and was able to help guide and support him through this time of uncertainty.

It didn’t take long before Jeff was successfully placed in his current role with Walmart as a Door Greeter. Jeff loves the responsibility that comes with his work, and better yet, he feels comfortable going to work each and every day.

“Everyone is so nice and welcoming. I now know I can go to work and be exactly who I am, without hesitation,” Jeff says.
